The Audio/Video team is responsible for four areas in regard to our Sunday service.
Volunteers should have interest or background in music/audio for the soundboard and computer/video experience for OBS or Pro Presenter. There are three open positions: Sound/lighting, Pro Presenter, and OBS.
We regularly adorn the church for the holidays and warmly welcome volunteers who would like to help with decorating. No special skills are required to participate in this joyful endeavor!
The church occasionally offers meals to the congregation for special events following the service. If you have a passion for cooking or baking, this is an excellent serving team to become a part of.
As a coffee ministry volunteer, your role will be to arrive at the church and prepare coffee for Sunday attendees. You’ll also set out light refreshments, ensure the coffee is continuously refilled, and assist with cleanup once the coffee bar concludes at 10:15 AM.
Greeters stationed at the church entrance warmly welcome congregants and newcomers, distributing bulletins and extending a friendly presence to all who enter.
The Missions team serves as a liaison between our church and the supported missionaries, delivering regular updates to the congregation on the missionaries and organizations we support.
Your responsibility will involve supervising and engaging with children ranging from ages 1 through preschool in our nursery.
You will help the Nursery Attendant manage and watch all children ages 1 through pre-school.
The prison ministry is open to anyone who would like to assist in leading Bible studies for inmates at the local detention center in Annapolis. Commitment is anywhere from evenings once a week or monthly. Potential volunteers need to go through a background check and attend an orientation at the jail.
Sunday school teachers lead age-appropriate lessons and activities that help students understand the Bible, its stories, teachings, and the principles of Christianity. You will also facilitate crafts, and games and get the enjoyment of watching children learn about Christ!
You will assist the teacher with the lesson taught that week for the classroom. You will help children do their crafts or play games under the direction of the Teacher.
The ushers distribute Communion plates containing bread and juice at the conclusion of the service during Communion.
The VBS planning team is in charge of planning and executing our yearly Vacation Bible School. You will help with planning which begins in the fall for the summer event. This includes making the schedule, planning games, activities, lessons, snacks, and volunteer management.
The worship team guides the congregation through the opening songs of each service and is continuously seeking talented individuals, whether singers or musicians proficient in any instrument, to join their ranks.
