Each of us must know which gifts we have been given so that we can serve others, but we are also called to serve in areas where we are not gifted – especially helping those in need.

Spiritual gifts are concrete expressions of God’s grace, manifested by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, in order to enable us to serve others in love.

Christians are called to serve God in their nation and culture, submitting to their leaders, and serving in the government and wider culture with unbelievers to promote the common good, always remembering that their true home is the new heavens and the new earth.

Christians are called to serve God in their families by loving and respecting their spouse, raising their children to love God and His kingdom, and honoring their parents, all with a view to being a blessing to the wider world.
